MBP advocates for policies that help our member companies grow and succeed in Minnesota. We draw on our members’ experience, data and research to develop practical recommendations and work with elected officials and state agencies to advance them.

Our Growth Agenda focuses on three policy areas that shape Minnesota’s economic future.

Jobs & the Economy

Minnesota must be competitive for jobs, investment and talent. We advocate for a more competitive tax climate, responsible and sustainable state spending, and policies that help employers invest, innovate and grow in Minnesota.

Education & Workforce

Minnesota’s future depends on an education system that prepares students for success and a workforce that helps employers compete and grow. We advocate for strong academic foundations, accountability for student outcomes, and clear pathways from education to training and careers.

Health Care

Accessible, affordable, high-quality health care supports Minnesota’s quality of life and economic competitiveness. We advocate for policies that improve affordability, support innovation and competition, and reward better health outcomes.

Connecting Lawmakers and Employers

Our Legislative Visits program brings legislators into member headquarters and facilities to meet company leaders and employees, see operations firsthand, and understand how public policy affects their work.

Work is underway to develop MBP’s 2027 Legislative Priorities. This work will build on the policy foundation outlined in our 2026 Legislative Priorities.
