The Minnesota Business Partnership (MBP) today announced the 2025 Community Impact Report, highlighting more than $2.2 billion in annual charitable giving and community benefit with just one third of Minnesota Business Partnership member companies reporting.
The findings were shared at The Partnership Experience, MBP’s annual dinner, on September 24 at U.S. Bank Stadium. Nearly 700 business and community leaders gathered for an evening focused on community impact, featuring interactive showcases from more than 40 organizations highlighting how Minnesota’s largest employers contribute to the communities they serve.
MBP member companies do more than power Minnesota’s economy; they put corporate citizenship into action to strengthen communities. Employing 1 in 6 Minnesotans, MBP companies bring an unwavering commitment to regional vitality, donating millions and dedicating thousands of volunteer hours each year.
Other key data points include:
- 337,000 volunteer hours which amount to $13 million in donated time. This total excludes the volunteer care hours reported separately by Presbyterian Homes.
- $1.58 million in community benefit by MBP healthcare members towards uncompensated health care
This giving spans every region and sector across Minnesota: expanding local healthcare access, funding safety nets for children and families, providing dignity and support for seniors, and seeding economic development in rural towns. By pairing business innovation with hands-on service, MBP leaders ensure that every community, neighborhood, and family prospers.
Member companies make an impact at home and around the world every day.
Examples of giving by MBP member companies include:
- $1.2 million in charitable giving within Minnesota by Red Wing Shoe Company in 2025, including funding the Red Wing Environmental Learning Center for kids ages 8 to 18 years to connect with the natural world and build lifelong skills.
- $539 million in community contributions by Essentia Health in 2025 including donating tens of thousands of school supplies to students across Minnesota school districts.
- 598,000 hours of care provided by volunteers at Presbyterian Homes in 2025 supporting Minnesota seniors with food deliveries, companionship, safety checks, and wellness activities.
The 2025 Community Impact Report reflects data voluntarily reported by approximately one-third of MBP member companies and represents only a portion of the broader impact MBP members make in Minnesota and beyond each year.
