Minnesota Business Partnership member companies employ 1 in 6 Minnesotans, but their impact reaches much further. Their employees support local businesses, their contracts sustain thousands of Minnesota suppliers, and their investments and charitable giving strengthen schools, cultural institutions and communities across the state.

That reach means Minnesota’s business climate affects more than individual companies. When taxes, health care costs or workforce shortages make it harder for employers to invest and grow here, the effects extend to suppliers, local businesses, workers and families.

Minnesotans recognize what is at stake. MBP’s 2026 research found that 70% of residents believe keeping the state’s largest employers here matters, and 63% say large employers have a positive impact on Minnesota.

MBP convenes CEOs and senior executives from Minnesota’s leading employers, bringing together their local, national and global perspectives. We pair those perspectives with data and research to advance practical policies that support growth, strengthen Minnesota’s competitiveness and expand opportunity across the state.

Work is underway to develop MBP’s 2027 Legislative Priorities. This work will build on the policy foundation outlined in our 2026 Legislative Priorities.
