“We are horrified and without words about today’s tragic news. Speaker emeritus Hortman was one of Minnesota’s great public servants and leaders and we are heartbroken at the loss of her and her husband Mark. Our deepest sympathies go to their family. Senator Hoffman is a man who has dedicated his life to public service, from the school board to the legislature, advocating for those in need and our thoughts and prayers go out to him and his wife, Yvette.”
