Minnesota Business Partnership Statement on Governor-elect Amy Klobuchar’s Call for Growth

The Minnesota Business Partnership is ready to work with Governor-elect Klobuchar to make Minnesota a national leader in economic growth and innovation, and a place where businesses can invest, grow, and lead. In her victory speech, she called for a growth mindset, a growth agenda, and said government must be focused on delivering results. We agree.

MBP believes that growth is good and should be a shared priority. By bringing together the collective leadership of Minnesota’s largest employers, we advance pro-growth policies that help Minnesota remain a place where businesses can invest, grow, and lead. Growth creates jobs, raises wages, strengthens communities, and gives Minnesotans more opportunity to build their futures here.

Klobuchar connected growth to practical steps, including cutting red tape, improving government efficiency, restoring trust, and working with the Legislature to deliver results. Minnesota businesses need a stable and competitive business climate, and Minnesotans deserve a government that protects taxpayer dollars and delivers results.

As we look ahead to the 2027 legislative session, MBP looks forward to working with Governor-elect Klobuchar and legislative leaders to advance a more competitive tax climate, responsible and sustainable state spending, stronger pathways from education to careers, and more affordable health care.

Minnesota has tremendous strengths, and we have an opportunity to build on them. A shared commitment to growth will help ensure our state is a place where businesses succeed, communities thrive, and Minnesotans have opportunities to build their futures.

Minnesota, it’s everybody’s business.
